Ice Cream Parlour - 3

The photos distord the colours.
But I have to say. in reality the purple is darkish pink, but the purple looks better,

Some items are not painted yet. The sides of the triplex cn't be painted even with the paint provided.
So I decided to wait until I have better paint.

The cooler was a real pain to make.
The foilpaper was too sturdy and it was very hard to glue.

So let's say it is part of the learning curve.

Like attaching the lamps...

Ice Cream Parlour - 2

There was a gap between roof and large window, so I used a part of the left over triplex. Painted it and it fitted precisely.

The large counter was fun to make.
I decided not to paint it... might do it later.
I still have to press the containers better in the corners.

A part of the cover was missing. K01.
I assume it's something transparent. So I'll add this using a sturdy piece of plastic from a display box of chocolates. LOL!
Sometimes people complain I collect a lot of useless stuff... Noop!!!

I can add some towels and stuff later.
They are not in the kit.

The cabinet was nice to make
The glasses were almost real. Found out they are sold at Amazon, and I bet at a lot of other places too.
They (scale 1:24) are more expensive than real large size glasses!!

The bottles below are beads. The transparent one at the right has a large opening, so a coloured pin can be put inside, and the bottom is very flat.

The items on top can't be seen well when the cabinet is placed in the building. So I'll probably use them in one of the other roomboxes.

On the photo the cabinet looks doodgy, but it's perfectly straight. Trust me.

The lights are nice, but they were a real pain to attach.
I tried tape... not working
Tried the very vey sticky, dubbelsided sticky foam... the lights were on the floor in the morning.
So I combined the foam with a sowing thread. It sticks out of the roof, which is not nice. So I'll turn it, to place the knots between the openings of the roof, and maybe paint the roof again, so the threat will be less visible.

I put the 4 wires going from roof to bottom in a straw, and glued it to the wall.

Ice Cream Parlour - 1

ICE CREAM PARLOUR

The Ice Cream Parlour is a Crafts&Co kit.

This one involves a start with a lot of painting.
(No indication if you need water in the glue. >>>No, just use it as it is.)

The walls on the inside require glueing paper on them.
I shouldn't have done that, but should have painted the inside of the walls too.
The paint is a very nice yellow and it covers well.
(The sides of the triplex don't accept the paint well.)

Unlike some other kits the ground floor doesn't indicate the place of the walls.
I hope I have put them right.

The trellis is supposed to be white.
If I would make the kit again I would paint it yellow too, so there would be continuity

Two weeks ago I've bought the small wooden salvers. Triangles and squares.
The building fits on the square one.
It's easy to put the building aside and keep some stuff ready to be used.
