Puzzle Lantern 2

Another Puzzle Lantern.

This was under the plastic wrap.
A piece broken off in the factory.

Get your hobby knife ready.
This kit was badly lasered.

On the bottom a rim is attached..
It didn't fit at all and broke!
Luckily the bottom has 4 sideplates that covers it.

Before attaching the movable parts,
sand the pins,
both on the short an on the long sides.
Otherwise you can't attach the top at all.

The pins have room in the middle,
but the wood doesn't bend, but break.
Now you're warned!

The description was not as clear as the first lantern I made.
One of the horizontal layers should not be underneath,
but maneuvered inside the lamp on the vertical plates.

The bottom part of the candle should join the circles
90 degrees rotated from the long hole.
After putting both circles on there
(maybe you need sanding the bottom part to fit),
The candle itself fits easily and secures the lot.

I forgot to take some photos of the rest.
The decorative plates are made of 5 parts.
A middle piece, 2 sides and a bottom and top rim.

Sand the pins well.
One of the sidepieces was longer than the rest.
(Why?)
So while trying to fit everything well,
it broke... I used only a bit of pressure.

It needs a perfect fit
otherwise the side pieces
can't be used.

The lantern is very nice,
but a real pain,
due to the bad quality.
