Scholar's Dream

A large sticker at the front.
Why?
All the warnings are on the box,
which was not sealed!!!

The box is very high,
but there is a lot of empty space inside.

.

This was at the bottom.
Almost nothing.

.

.
One large piece of paper for everything.

A very unprotected piece for electricity!!

And a huge pile of wood.

Parts are easy to press out,
but be warned:
some boards contain
3 letter codes!

.

It's very hard to fit everything precisely in place.
I love a tight fit,
but this is too much.
It makes me think the box
has been stored very dry,
and using it now the nornal room moisture
makes it expand just that little
that things won't fit precisely anymore.

I had to move the
stairs and wall around so many times,
that the plastic lamp
had to be glued over and over again.
It better has been made from iron.

The furniture is not difficult to assemble,
because the material if very thick.
No need to stick labels on bottles.
They are made from wood!

This I liked to make.

But no pressure, kind words,
or utter despair
helped the floor to join properly.

So at last I joined the opposite wall,
so that in the end,
I have some joy of having the book nook
looking better than a derelict house.

It turned out to be a real job,
because the wall was not flat at all.
So I had to apply a lot of pressure,
even a pile of books,
to get all the connections glued together.

The kit must have been stored vertical.

So now the challenge is to get all the stuff in
in a good way.
So I used a very large set of tweezers.

Oh,
and piece b12 just flew out the board,
and I can't find it anywhere.

.

.
In order to give the books
 their righteous places,
I took some of the left over wood,
cut it in size,
and filled the bookcase.

.
That's why I always keep
the left over wood.

.

.

.
The lightsystem was fine.
Be aware that the two sides of the plug,
are different.
.

Follow the instructions closely,
so you can switch the batteries on,
and use the floorcarpet,
to swith on and off the lights,
or...
pleasure for those
who are looking in my booknook
dim the lights.

.

Review:

Nice set.
First create the box, to make the walls fit.
It was a real struggle.

The end result is marvelous.
The light system is clever,
but I think it's a pity there is a sign printed on the carpet.
